Taking a Trip up to Abergavenny

I just had to share this gem from the past (well not my past but other peoples), today very strangely two people mentioned this song after me mentioning I was going to Abergavenny, I had never heard of it so of course had to Youtube it .... here it is a real song, thanks Mum and Gigi for this apparent hit even in New Zealand :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqhZBgdQn2A&feature=related I have to add that Abergavenny is about 20 minutes away and is fairly much one of the local places we end up at, we were there on Saturday for lunch and a wonder around. I have to drop How there as he is working there in a nearby school tomorrow.

    Good heavens yes, of course we oldies know it's a song! :-) In fact, when I was in Wales 12 years ago I especially went to Abergavenny, but discovered that it wasn't fine at all, I have to say. :-(

    :) yeah its just a village, alive when the food festival is on but other than that its just village with villagey things

    Well if you were in Abergavenny you were not far from where we are living now, Monkswood, near Usk, where at the moment we have darkness by 5pm, flooding on the roads and cold - but could be worse ... car could have stalled all the way home from outside Abergavenney this morning - Oh thats right it did :( Bunny hopping all the way home is a little unnerving through flood, A roads and roundabouts .... poor wee beasty of a car.
