Orangey Tangy
Well, Prue mentioned my biking to Newport. I managed to pick up an old road bike for 65 pounds. It's a ten speed and is bright orange. Good for the early ride as it is highly visible. Every great mode of transport has received a name that leads you to mention the name not the form of transport. As a result I have christened my bike the Orangy Tangy. Day one was not so successful as I rode with all the grace of an elephant as far as Usk (about 3 miles) before I came unstuck or rather my tire became punctured. Not detered I returned home and fixed the tire. That's right I now have my UK man badge as a fixer. I believe I can fix anything and will from this day forth will fix nothing to avoid being proven wrong. The next day I rode off into the sunset and experienced an enjoyable ride into Newport. I think some of the signs are inaccurate as it seemed to be a little longer than 12 Miles. Anyway, the bike is fixed, I am a fixer and all I have to show for it are some sore legs, a sore neck and very sore hands. On the upside if I keep this up I should look more like a Hippo on a bike as opposed to an elephant.
