September Sunshine

Not much to report today, a beautiful sunny day, the kids were both at school (which they are really enjoying) and we drove to Abergavenny to get a few bits and pieces for school and home. Then on a walk to Usk which is in the other direction and got a Welsh sticker for Maddy to put on the cover of her Welsh exercise book for school. Here the school provide all the books so you don't have to pay for them or go shopping for them, you do need to get the pens and pencils etc and uniform but that is it. The bus is also covered by the school, and they are loving getting the bus to and from school.

Tomorrow we are off to Cardiff, driving to Cwmbran and then taking the train as this is far easier than negotiating the M4 to Cardiff as How has an interview with an agency for work closer to home. His biking to Newport has been going well though but good to get work closer. Also hopefully there is more for me around here as well. Cardiff is only about 1/2 hr from here on the train so home in time for 4 when the kids get home.

This weekend is the Usk Show, where most of Usk go to a big agricultural fair - pretty huge I believe so we will go along, Maddy has been invited to go to a friends house in the afternoon. I can't imagine all that traffic on these little lanes and strees - but it does happen. Here is the website for the show for those interested http://www.uskshow.co.uk/
