We're on the train heading down the country from Edinburgh where we flew back into the Uk to London where we leave from.
Firstly getting back into the Uk was far from simple. We couldn't land in Edinburgh so we were diverted to Prestwick on the west coast of Scotland. When we landed there was no talk about buses to get us to Edinburgh. The reason for this, 20 minutes later we were airborne again flying back to Edinburgh.
Anyway it was nice to see the city covered in snow and not a blanket of fog like it was previously. It was also nice to spend time with my aunt and uncle before heading away and we shared a lovely breakfast with them.
And now it is time to make amends for a few oversights on our behalf. Firstly those who have read this blog will know the title is Wales it is then. We did not begin the blog until we decided to settle in Wales. As a result some important people who we met and visited have not been mentioned in the posts.
We would like to thank Michelle as well as Zac and Matthew for allowing us to stay with them in Walton on Thames. Also Amanda and Mark for helping us get to Leicster where we met Jo and Richard and there son Jamie. it was nice to have a friendly face or two during what was a low time for us. It was great to stay with Marion and Ivor in their lovely cottage in Herefordshire. This was a time when we were at a very low ebb and they were wonderful in helping us get through it.
But the biggest thank you has to be saved for John and Cathie whom we have unintentionally left out when talking about where we ended up. It was there cottage in Wales where we stayed and it was also their car that we had use of during our time there. Both of these things were a huge assistance to us. Life was also made easier by John and Cathie taking me to Newport to help me get to work easier. I most certainly appreciated not having to get up so early especially as winter began. The fact they were willing to take us to and from the station when we travelled was welcomed and again it made life so much easier. As I mentioned earlier in this paragraph it was never our intention to leave any of these people out of the blog and we deeply regret doing so.
Anyway just five days to go. I'm sure there will be more posts but they may not happen now until we arrive in New Zealand.
Au revoir
