When it rains below zero, it snows

51 cm of snow, there’s only one thing for it. Snowflight. Actually that’s not quite true. After pelting each other with snow, we tried to make a snowman. Our snow blob might not win any style contests but we liked him.
As for Dusseldorf, it’s a nice town. Some great boutique shops, and some fabulous food. Weiner crossaints have become a family favourite and Super Dickmann’s really hit the spot for dessert. As yet I haven’t had the chance to order Schwartwelderkirshtorte which is about all I remember of my high school German, but I’m still on the lookout.
On Tuesday we are meeting up with Emil who is travelling across country to see us, so that’s going to be a highlight. Hard to believe only a couple of days left on the continent.
